Felicity Carter: What becomes your first stylish memory?

Adriana Epelboim-Levy: I spent my formative years in Venezuela, and, someday, my grandmother opened her vintage style closet and allowed me to select my favorite portions to take with me. Seeing this kind of old, stunning dresses from the ’60s, I understood a unique beauty in the back of undying style that captivated me. For the first time, I had the possibility to apply my creativity to reconstruct pieces to cause them to a wearable. I understood the usage of materials and the power of minimalism. My great interest turned into maintaining the nature of the clothes and keeping them intact. With the use of the minimum element, they became my masterpieces.

FC: What lured you into the enterprise?

AEL: I went to Architecture School in New York City at Pratt Institute. I constantly liked Architecture as a discipline. The architecture permits the dressmaker to translate right into a made of any scale. From buildings to footwear, there is so much commonality between the layout technique of both industries. There is a process of conceptualizing, formulating a construction mechanism, finalizing a shape, considering functionality.

Fashion has continually been an ardor for me; being in NYC allowed me to be close to the scene, supporting Fashion Week Shows and being a part of Photo Shoots, operating in retail. I had the possibility to paintings inside the enterprise because of my creative beginnings. Soon after I graduated from Architecture School, I determined to join a Footwear Design software on the prestigious Milan-based Fashion School, Ars Sutoria. I worked in their NYC-based program to hone my abilities similarly.
